A Snow Camp Prayer

Our church youth group more than doubles it’s size this weekend and heads off to snow camp. I’ve been struggling with the blog I intended post, but this prayer flows easily. This is for my church youth group, and all my camp director friends in snow camp this weekend.

Dear Heavenly Father, this is a big snow camp weekend. Most of the kids go to get out of the house, miss a day of school and have fun with friends.

O Lord, I know that many, perhaps most are not interested in seeking You this weekend. A lot of them doubt you. Their hearts are as cold to You as the weather outside, You’re just the side show. But God, I know that You are there to seek them out and meet the needs of their hearts. Please take the cold blackness of their hearts and make them pure and white as snow.

Dear Savior, be the seeker of lost souls this weekend, and may Your name be glorified.

About the Ordinary Hiker

A Christian camp director for many years, I enjoy ministry and being outdoors. I refer to God's creative wonder as the testimony of creation, a special place where God brings His word to life. Its where I like to be and where God speaks in His gentle voice in the awe of His creative work.
